Jewish Overnight Camp Scholarships

We strive to provide every child with the opportunity to experience Camp Be'chol Lashon. Below you will find information about several camp scholarship opportunities.

One Happy Camper

OneHappyCamper is a $1000 incentive for campers that fit the following criteria: never have previously attended Jewish overnight camp for any length of time (not including weekend and family camps), be entering grades 2-12 (after their summer at camp), not currently receive an immersive, daily Jewish experience (i.e. children attending Jewish day schools or yeshiva are not eligible), be registered for a 2- or 3-week session at a participating local Jewish summer camp*.

The Jewish Federation and The Jewish Community Foundation of the East Bay provide needs-based financial assistance for Jewish children from the East Bay (Alameda, Contra Costa, Solano and Napa Counties) to attend any Jewish overnight summer camp in the United States or Canada. All overnight camp financial awards are intended to provide "last resort" community resources above and beyond what is contributed by families and individual camps.

PJ Library Goes to Camp

Increasing youth attendance at Jewish camps is a goal of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF). That is why, in partnership with the Foundation for Jewish Camps (FJC), HGF has designed a program to encourage families to send their children to Jewish overnight camp for the first time.

PJ Goes to Camp is a funder of the FJC's One Happy Camper program. PJ Goes to Camp offers incentive grants of up to $1,000 to offset camp tuition for PJ Library participants, siblings, and alumni.
