Capoeira Sul da Bahia
Capoeira is a 400-year-old martial art that blends music, dance, singing, and acrobatics to create a holistic approach to teaching self-defense. Developed by African slaves in Brazil as a means to defy their Portuguese slave masters, capoeira is a game, a fight, and a dance in one.

Circus School
Circus School students will perform and showcase juggling, gymnastic, balancing, and tumbling skills.

Arts & Crafts:

Havdallah “Besamin”
Using a variety of African, West Indian, and European spices or “besamin,” we will create potpourri sachets for Havdalah to infuse our week with sweetness and remind us of the beautiful fragrance of the season.

Shavuot First Fruit Asian Block Prints
All cultures around the world celebrate the spring harvest. Make block prints of “bikkurim” or first fruits from China and Israel.

Mexican Folk Art
Have fun making bright paper flowers from “papel de China” or tissue paper and "papel picado" or paper cuts to celebrate Latino Jewish culture.

Make your own Tzedakah Box
